Saving quotes as PDF files in QuickBooks Premier 2010
In QuickBooks Premier 2010 you can easiy save your quotes as PDF fies.
 
Steps
 
1. Open or create the quote within QuickBooks
 
2. Click File on the top left menu bar.
 
Save as PDF...
 
 
3. Choose the Save as PDF... from the menu.
 
Name your Quote
 
4. Be sure to name the quote in the File name: box.
 
Note: Make note of the save location so that you can open the file later.
QuickBooks Premier 2010 e-mailing quotes as PDF files
You can easily email forms like estimates, invoices...  in PDF format from within the QuickBooks Premier 2010 Interface.
 
If you have Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Mail installed as your default e-mail program, QuickBooks automatically uses it when you try to send e-mail.
 
Note: Be sure your network administrator has your email program like Outlook 2007 setup and ready to go before performing these steps.
 
Steps
 
1. Open or create the Quote with Quickbooks.

2. Click the small envolope icon at the top that says E-mail.
 
Note: if this is the first time to click this button, you get a message asking to use your client email program. Be sure to choose to use the client email program and not QuickBooks.
 
3. You will see your PDF Quote Attached to the email.
 
4. Verify that your To: E-mail address is correct.

5. Adjust the form letter note to fit your needs.
 
6. Click Send e-mail.
 
Note: You may need to open your Outlook e-mail program and click the send and receive button.

Steps
 
1. Open the announcements page within the SharePoint Designer.

2. Click the code tab at the bottom.
 
3. Open the Find and Replace tool in the edit menu at the top.
 
4. Type Limit Len in the Find What box.
 
5. Change the number after = to a larger disired charcter limit number.
 
Blocking web sites with Internet Explorer
Restricting access to certain web sites using the content advisor in Internet Explorer 7 & 8.
 
Steps
 
1. Open Internet Explorer and click Tools in the top file menu bar. Then click the Content Tab at the top.

2. Click the Enable button under the content advisor heading above and then click the Approved Sites Tab.

3. Type the web site in the Allow this website box above. Be sure to click the Never button to the right of the above box.

4. Next click the General Tab at the top and under User options make sure the Users can see website that have no rating check box is checked.
 
Note: It is important that you check the above User option check box to prevent other sites from being blocked.

5. After you have blocked a website when a user trys to access the site they receive the above blocked page message.
 
Configure Content Advisor with Group Policy
 
Blocking web sites using Group Policy on the server.
 
You can also block websites for all computers on your domain network using the above Security Zones and Content Ratings dialog box within the GPO.
 
Steps
 
1. Click the Import the current Content Ratings settings and then the Modify Settings button in the above dialog.
 
2.  Follow steps 1 - 5 above just the same way.
 
Note: To work properly it is important that the Server and the workstations on your domain network have the same version of Internet Explorer.
 
Connecting to your wireless access point
How to connect to a Wi/Fi wireless access point that has 64 bit WEP security encryption enabled.
 
Steps
 
1. Right mouse click on the wireless computer icon in the bottom right corner by the clock.

2. Click view available wireless networks from the menu.

3. Select the wireless network name, usaully the name of your company.
 
Enter the Network Key
 
4. When prompted enter the Network Key by entering the number 5 typed 10 times. For example 5555555555
 
5555555555 represents the key setup by your administrator
 
Be sure to enter the number twice to confirm
 
Type the key again to confirm
5. Click the connect button and wait a few seconds for your connection.

Using the Go MCD Technology remote support tool
Steps to use the Go MCD Technology remote support tool.
 
1. Download the gomcd.zip tool by clicking here.

2. Click the Open button.
 
3. Double Click the gomcd.exe application.

4. Select the Run button when the Open File -Security Warning appears.
 
This will open the Go MCD Technology remote support tool on the computer requiring remote assistance.

5. Double click the REMOTE TECH 1 text at the top left.
 
Before making a connection click here to send a text message to request a tech.
 
You will see an Establishing connection... Icon. If your tech doesn't connect within a 5 minutes time period please double click the Remote Tech 1 text again.

Backup PayClock EZ 2006
Steps to backup PayClock EZ 2006
 
1. Click File then Exit in the top left menu bar.

2. Click OK to the PayClock EZ 2006 reminder.

3. Click the Create button.
 
Update the backup
 
4. Click Yes to update the existing backup.
 
That's it! Just allow a few seconds for backup process to complete.
Burn files to a disc using Windows

Steps

1. Place an empty CD or DVD in the DVD drive tray.

2. Wait a few seconds until an AutoPlay windows appears.

3. Choose the Burn files to disc using Windows option.

4. You will see the Window to type your Disc title.

5. Click Show formatting options.

6. Choose Burn a master disc to ensure compatibility.

7. Next Click the Burn to disc button at the middle top.

Steps
 
1. Open the eventviewer by typing eventvwr at the Run area
2. Click on the System log
3. Click the Sort by Source
4. Look for USER32 to see shutdowns and restarts
Disabling the auto update notification in Flash Player
If you are wanting to disable the auto-update notification in Flash Player this information may be helpful to you.
 
From the computer you want to disable the auto update feature
 
1. Right mouse click on the flash content
2. Select  Settings, Advanced and click Global Notifications
3. Uncheck the Notify Me When an Update to Adobe Flash is Available option to stop receiving notifications.
4. Close the Settings Manger to save your settings.
